Welcome to the official website of the Amateur Miniten Association (AMinA).
The role of the AMinA is to encourage worldwide participation in miniten, to control the rules of the game and to provide National tournaments that Naturist Competitors can take part in.
There are many Open Tournaments and Club tournaments that take place throughout the year – details on the Open tournaments that the AMinA are aware of are listed in this website alongside official AMinA events. If we have missed any out please send details at the e-mail address below.
PLEASE NOTE THAT TOURNAMENT DATES HAVE CHANGED THIS YEAR AS WE HAVE LOST SOUTH HANTS AND CHARNWOOD ACRES AS VENUES SO BE SURE TO LOOK AT THE TOURNAMENT DATES
The AMinA is funded by yearly contributions from affiliated clubs. These clubs are then able to participate in AMinA National Tournaments. For further information on how to affiliate please click on the appropriate link.

Ladies Doubles - Jackie (Diogenes) & Ann (Charnwood) beat Erika & Sue (Diogenes)
Mens Doubles - Mike (N.K./Dio) & Student (North Kent) beat Martin (S.H./N.K.) & Paul (Diogenes)
Mixed Doubles - Martin (S.H./N.K.) & Caroline (Diogenes) beat John & Ann (Charnwood)
Although the turnout was not great, it was a good tournament.
The tournament was noticeable for a couple of reasons. Everyone seemed to beat everyone else!
Only Jackie and Ann were able to make it through the weekend unbeaten!
Student had not played in an Open Tournament for more than 8 years...and having already lost 2 matches sneaked into the final on countback. His last title was with Mike almost exactly 10 years to the day!!
Caroline won her first Open Tournament since the Percy Wilfred in 2002, and was her first Open Mixed title, winning with Martin in a three set final! The final was competed by the runners-up in each of the groups!
None of the pairs had played in the tournament before and therefore were all first time winners!
*** IMPORTANT UPDATE ***
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SOUTHERN REGIONAL PLAYOFFS FOR 2009 DUE TO BE HELD ON THE 4th & 5th JULY AT THE NATURIST FOUNDATION HAVE BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF ENTRANTS. THERE WERE 4 IN EACH EVENT, BUT THIS IS NOT ENOUGH TO RUN A VALID TOURNAMENT.
QUALIFIERS FOR THE SOUTHERNS IN EACH EVENT HAVE BEEN ALLOCATED 2 FOR NATURIST FOUNDATION AND 2 FOR DIOGENES (THE ONLY CLUBS ENTERING) AND WILL BE SEEDED ON LAST YEARS SOUTHERNS SEEDINGS FOR THE NATIONALS.
THIS IS A PLEA...IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT THE TOURNAMENTS, THEY WILL DIE....WE WILL LOSE THE GAME WE LOVE OTHER THAN FOR AN ODD GAME ON A SUNDAY.

Received an answer to one of the questions asked:
"You hit the nail on
the head with your example of being in the sun for 6 points. This is
exactly why the tie-break was raised to 9 points.
Being an old codger I was at the AGM at South Hants when East Mids (Mac) proposed the idea. As I remember there weren't any objections but it was quite strange really that the proposal came from East Mids who were probably the greatest exponents of the lobbing game, who used the sun and wind to great effect."
*** UPDATE ***
Just added results and tables for 2008 and for the Phoenix Open and Stanley Watkins Open 2009
*** RESULT ***
Ladies Doubles - Jackie (Diogenes) & Ann (Charnwood) beat Erika & Sue (Diogenes)
Mens Doubles - Mike (N.K./Dio) & Kevin (North Kent) beat John (Charnwood) & Ems (Diogenes)
Mixed Doubles - Erika & Ems (Diogenes) beat John & Ann (Charnwood)
A great tournament, though with few entries, most notable for the first Open Tournament win for Kevin after many years of playing.
*** RESULT ***
Stanley Watkins Open and Kinsonwood Singles
Ladies Singles - Not competed as not able to get 4 entries
Mens Singles - Martin (S.H./N.K.) beat Paul (North Kent) 6-1 6-0
Ladies Doubles - Alma & Thelma (North Kent) beat Jackie and Natalie (Diogenes) 6-4 6-7 6-1
Mens Doubles - Martin (S.H./N.K.) & Paul (Diogenes) beat Mike (N.K./Dio) & Ems (Diogenes) 7-6 6-3
Mixed Doubles - Martin (S.H./N.K.) & Christine (F.A./Dio) beat Ems (Diogenes) & Thelma (North Kent) 6-1 6-2
Beautiful weather and introduction of the "Set to 10" idea, on which the jury is still out.
Paul wins his first Open Tournament, the second Tournament in a row we have had a new winner.
Alma and Thelma win their "Home" Tournament, though were pushed hard by Jackie and Natalie who played her first Open Final.
Martin picked up a clean sweep of trophies to leap to the top of the leaderboard for 2009.
Idea now planted in my mind of trying to work out who has won clean sweeps in tournaments and how many times...I just wish I didn't have these ideas! This one may take a while!

Updated all results and tables for 2008 and for the Phoenix and Stanley Watkins Open for 2009
Updated Tournament dates for 2009, and also added provisional dates for 2010, though do not take these as gospel they are a good guide and are subject to change
Replied to questions that have been posed through the e-mail address, unfortunately I haven't been able to reply directly to all but have added to the FAQ and Miniten Doctor where applicable. I do not know all the answers, so would be grateful if people could mail in their thoughts and opinions to admin@amateurminitenassociation.co.uk
